Tandem is free to use, with no ads and no credit card. Habits, letters, the watch room, memories, lists, the calendar, Scrabble, and Paint are all included. An optional Pro plan raises the limits and adds six more two-player games. If Tandem makes your relationship better and you want to give back, there is a Support Tandem button where you can chip in any amount. Totally optional.

Does it work for long-distance couples?

It is built for it. Tandem shows your partner's local time, delivers your daily love note at each person's own 8am, and lets you send hearts and letters across any distance.

Do we both need the app?

Yes, it takes two. One of you creates a private space, then invites the other with a six-character code or link. After that, everything you do is shared just between you.

Is our stuff private?

Completely. Each couple gets their own private space, and your habits, photos, letters, and lists are visible only to the two of you. There is no feed, no followers, and no comparing yourselves to anyone else.

Do we need to install anything?

Why we built Tandem

One night, we just wanted to watch a movie together. I was in New Jersey, she was in Manila. We tried Zoom. It did not work. We tried Google Meet. The shared screen had no audio, and then the call cut out on top of that.
